Alex Roe is a UK composer and producer based in England. Ever since he was a kid he was fascinated with video game music and designing his own video games. When he was in college he made the jump from programing and computer science to music and composition, and hasn’t looked back since.

For nearly twenty years now he has been writing music and has become well known in the last decade for his video game arrangements of the Dark Souls and Bloodborne series, and more recently his video game soundtracks for GRIME and The Iron Oath. His work also garnered the attention of Dark Souls and Elden Ring composer Yuka Kitamura, and they both collaborated on an instrumental album together in 2021 called ‘Seasons’.

Alex’s music has often been described as incredibly unique and definitively his own style with powerful melodies and emotional writing. He is a firm believer of giving a soundtrack its own identity and making it stand out from the pack, whilst catering to the particular needs of a developer’s vision.

During his time as a composer, Alex has also composed music for various other projects including the video game Death’s Gambit, music for content creators such as VaatiVidya and RicePirate (also featured on ‘How It Should Have Ended’), and also had music featured on OC ReMix which has been heard by millions on the charity stream GDQ (Games Done Quick).
